About Camp Cahinnio
Traditional long-time camp favorites and new adventures come together at Camp Cahinnio, where theme weeks provide girls ages 6-17 the opportunities to explore new interests. Swimming, canoeing, outdoor cooking, archery, sports, fire building and other long time favorites remain an integral part of the camp experience. Skill-building camp sessions also focus on canoe tripping, horseback riding, outdoor survival, and orientation for more experienced campers looking for a challenge. If your daughter has “been there, done that” maybe it’s time to look into the requirements to be a Counselor-in-Training!Location and Facilities
Camp Cahinnio consists of over 400 acres nestled in Scott and Logan Counties near Booneville, AR. Facilities include an air-conditioned dining hall, swimming pool, private 23-acre lake, archery range, arts & crafts pavilion, canoeing and fishing pavilion, and four separate living units for campers.Sleeping – How Rustic?
Camp is divided into four living units where a girl can stay based on age and previous camping experience. The progression from the BA Cabin Unit to the Tipi Tent Unit (platform tents with wooden floors) to the Outpost Tent Unit (2-person canvas tents) is a natural one as a girl gains greater confidence over time in herself and the outdoors. Counselors-in-Training stay in the ever-popular tree house cabins perched on the shore of Lake Takima.Benefits of Camp
Camp provides a safe, positive, fun-filled and adventurous setting, which encourages discovery, problem solving and self-growth. It’s a place where every girl explores the joys of camping, discovers independence and self-reliance, learns new skills, makes lifelong friends, experiences group living and compromise, has fun, expands self-confidence, shares dreams and laughter and much more, all within a set of controlled boundaries.ACA Accreditation
Camp Cahinnio is proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association.CLICK HERE for more info.
