As you may be aware, Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) is in the process of changing the structure of Girl Scout councils across the country, ensuring that each is able to serve all girls in the best possible way, as the organization moves forward in the 21st Century. The term you have heard and will continue to hear is "realignment." In keeping you informed of the progress of this process, we have added a section to our website devoted to this realignment. This realignment means change - even at the highest level. Change can be difficult. Change can be scary. We are committed to making the best possible decisions that will ultimately serve girls better than ever before.

GSUSA has developed a newsletter called Realignment News (in Adobe PDF format; requires the free Adobe Acrobat Reader). This is a weekly newsletter sent to all council CEOs to keep them updated on the progress of these changes. CEOs are invited to make this information available to their staff and volunteers. GSCMMA is making these available to all of our volunteers.

As each issue is released by GSUSA, we'll post it to our website; linked to from this page. We invite you to send us any questions or comments about this information. Although we are not in a position to answer your questions, we will forward them to GSUSA. It may be such that your question gets answered in a future issue of Realignment News.
