Girl Scouts of the USA and local Girl Scout councils across the country receive the support of community, friends, and family in many different ways.

Volunteers give countless hours and a great variety of talents to support girls. Many friends of Girl Scouting will give gifts-in-kind of materials and resources needed to run Girl Scout program activities. Each individual Girl Scout is supported on different levels. Families support Girl Scouting financially and, in turn, Girl Scout councils and the national organization support girls. In addition to the annual Girl Scout Cookie Sale, local communities support Girl Scout councils with facilities, resources, and donations.
